Starting on December 27, 2022, both current and potential customers can register their SIM cards for free. The process is simple and won’t cost you anything for your mobile data wallet when you visit the SIM registration website.

In accordance with the SIM Registration Act, it is mandatory to register all SIM cards prior to activation in order to prevent crimes related to SIMs, such as fraud and scam texts. PTEs and distributors are required to sell deactivated SIMs until they have been registered by the end-user.

Register your new prepaid SIM card immediately to activate it. The card can only be used until its shelf life expires. For cards purchased before December 27, 2022, you can still register until the shelf life expires. Prepaid SIM cards with active loads and promos have 120 days to register. Prepaid WiFi has a registration period of 180 days.

Please note that deactivating your SIM card will result in the loss of all existing loads, promotional registrations, and freebies. This is because all SIM-related information will be deleted.

22) Can I get my old phone number back if my SIM card is deactivated for non-registration and I purchase a new SIM card?

If prepaid SIM users do not re-register between December 27, 2022, and April 26, 2023, the current phone number will become unavailable. It is crucial for users to register during this period to avoid any issues.
